What it is

June 2010: In a desperate attempt to stave off senility, the monkey began writing a poem a day. By summer's end he'd begun to run out of versified political rants and philosophical bloviations. Then he hit on the improbable idea of writing micro fiction in the form of Elizabethan sonnets. Eureka. The birth of the "Sonnets From Other Lives" series. Two hundred plus lives later, he's still at it.

Sonnets From Other Lives: the Subject

The CCTV camera at the mall
at thirteen thirty seven indicates
he’s roughly five foot seven or so tall.
In the ATM shot you can see his face
& environmental propaganda
on his t-shirt. His browsing history
tells us he plays online games & has a
mild interest in pornography.
Once or twice a week he will go jogging,
(three point seven miles—Google Earth).
For the last six months he has been blogging
about his politics. For what it’s worth,
we’d like more data than what we have here so
we can process his whole life as ones & zeros.
